We have a globalised economy. Just like how companies can contract offshore, we can equally buy our goods and services from any source around
the world.

• Tesco can import Levi jeans from cheaper American markets.
• CD-WOW can import CDs from cheaper Hong Kong markets.
• We can buy American DVDs and play them in all DVD players sold in the UK.

Thanks to the globalised economy, charging different prices for the same product in different countries has come to an end. Television producers no longer sell just "USA rights" and "UK rights" to thier shows any more.

Yes, there will be some short term loss as manufacturing work goes east, but because of the globalised economy, the cost of living between the eastern world and the western world will come closer and meet, making life better for all of us.
