Bill P. Godfrey et al
Welcome to my incredibly stupid website. This was my pride and joy from '04 to '07. I've since rescued it from its barely- functioning state and I'm presenting it here.

I hope you enjoy it.

Engineered

This is a rather serious and emotional piece. If you are easily upset, you may prefer to give this one a miss.

  • Woah. Abortion, designer babies, racism.

Add human cloning (or alien cloning) and you'll have everything.

  • I just watched this animation twice, and there is a strange message present within. I wish I knew the author's impetus for creating it.

When the fetus is brought out for inspection by the parents, the mother alien always smiles and seems extremely happy. She does this for the fetus with the weak leg as well as the albino fetus. In fact, even when the one-eyed and deformed fetus is brought out, after her initial shock, she begins to cuddle it happily.

It is the father alien who seems extremely discouraged by the appearance of his progeny. He thinks of his crying mate, longing for a cute baby to love, like the ones she sees in magazines. The entire process is not one of building a family for himself, but a chance to prove that he is not a failure as a partner. He fails at impregnating his wife, his genes fail to produce a physically perfect baby, and he even runs out of money to try again. He leaves the laboratory completely miserable.

What he doesn't realize is that it is not his own success as a breeding partner that is the problem, but that his mate wants to be a mother. If anything, she would have taken all three imperfect infants and loved them all.

More than anything, this animation seems to be a critique of the selfish male inability to understand the nature of a mother's love.
