Not that stupid [or magical] though. You could be reading the email on your blackberry handheld, wap phone, through digital television [sky... and NTL do this], or like me (when I'm at home) through an email aware phone [Amstrad Emailer]
Although, on second thoughts, your original evaluation of "duh" is probably most appropriate...
