I can't possibly think what they are talking about.

How to start your very own blog in fifty-one steps.

[What on earth does that mean? I must be getting old... which is a stupid statement - if I was getting younger then there would be something wrong with my perception of the current flow of time...]

I think it's all down to what people want from their blogs. Are you jumping up and down and saying "lavish attention on me" ? Or do you suffer from an eeyore complex "don't mind my blog, there's probably nothing worth reading in it anyway" ? Or maybe, are you a random diariest who thinks "what's the point of having a _secret_ journal" ?

I think some people write, because they need to write.

  • Well, I call it "incredibly stupid". Is that an eeyore complex, or just self-deprecating that the English love so much?

    Maybe its both.

    Maybe its neither.

  • It's self depreciating - although with the intent of drawing people to you who would view out of curiousity. "how stupid can this be?"

An eeyore complex would be one where you feel it doen't matter if you do something or not, people will ignore you anyway. So whether you call it "Bill's blog" or "Another blog" etc. You don't care too much what you write because you believe people won't take any notice of you anyway...
